According to the latest market report, “A Strategic Analysis of the U.S. Structural Pest Control Industry” from Specialty Consultants LLC, there are nearly 17,500 pest control firms operating nationwide. This growth underscores the increasing demand for professional pest control services, with more than 12.6 million residential customers receiving professional pest control services in the past year alone.
Rich Kalik, partner at Specialty Consultants LLC, noted interesting trends within the industry, such as the increase in revenue from controlling cockroaches and ants, and the significant rise in bed bug control services. The commercial pest control segment also continued to expand, with an 8.2 percent increase in service revenue over the past year.
