Plunkett’s Pest Control, Inc. has acquired MASH Services of Illinois, a Chicago-based pest control company that provides full-service pest control to the greater Chicago area. This acquisition merges two privately-owned pest control companies and expands Plunkett’s service capabilities in Illinois.
Aly Silva-Mulgrew, president of Plunkett’s Pest Control, says that “We are happy to welcome MASH Services’ talented team members to the Plunkett’s Team. We are confident that this partnership will strengthen us in the Chicago area.”
MASH Services owner, Kevin Connelly, commented on the merger, saying that, “I choose Plunkett’s because of their reputation in the industry. They’re a midwestern company that has a history of being a good employer as well as being good to their Customers. I know I’m leaving my customers and my employees in good hands.”
MASH Services of Illinois began as A-Alert Pest Control through original owner, Jerry Leeb in 1972. Kevin joined the team in 1990, was promoted to service manager in 1993, and officially took over operations in 2003. All MASH Services staff members have been offered positions and will be joining the Plunkett’s staff. Meanwhile, Kevin Connelly plans to retire, intending to contribute to Plunkett’s success in an advisory capacity for the initial months following the merger.
Founded in 1915 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Plunkett’s Pest Control is a privately-owned and operated corporation led by President Aly Silva-Mulgrew, and third-generation owner and board chair, Stacy O’Reilly.
Still based in Minneapolis, with regional offices in Columbus, OH and Farmington, NM, Plunkett’s Pest Control and Varment Guard Wildlife Services deliver professional pest and wildlife control services to over 70,000 residential and commercial clients in 22 states.
